Release Notes

New features, improvements, and fixes on ampario.

  1. Version 1.5

    New
    • Express delivery for local purchases: book a courier for transport between seller and buyer. Drivers get their own dashboard with open jobs and earnings, and both sides track the shipment via an eight-digit pickup and receipt code.
    • Automatic invoices and credit notes: for every order ampario generates a billing document natively as a PDF (invoice AMP-YYYY-NNNN, credit note AMP-GS-YYYY-NNNN) and emails it automatically.
    Improved
    • Shipping labels are created straight from the order via LABELfleet — including support for Packstation and post-office addresses, so parcel-shop deliveries work without extra steps.
    Fixed
    • The unread-message and notification badges in the header now degrade gracefully during brief database hiccups: instead of an error they briefly show “0 unread” and self-heal on the next poll.
    • Improved dark-mode readability: red hint texts and buttons now consistently meet WCAG-AA contrast requirements.
  2. Version 1.4

    New
    • Auctions with an optional buy-now: bid with an automatic maximum (proxy bidding) or secure the item instantly at a fixed price. Last-minute bids automatically extend the runtime so no one gets sniped at the very end.
    • Item-specifics filters: listings can now be narrowed down by attributes such as condition, brand, or model — both in the general search and directly on the category pages.
    Improved
    • Faster checkout: pick your delivery address straight from your address book instead of re-entering it. For orders that require shipping, the selection is shown before payment.
    • Saved searches now notify you automatically by email as soon as a new listing matches your criteria.
  3. Version 1.3

    New
    • Buyer protection and secure payments via Stripe: payments are held in escrow and only released to the seller after the goods are received. Sellers receive their payouts automatically via Stripe Connect.
    • Classifieds import via browser extension: bring existing listings over to ampario from your classifieds account in just a few clicks.
    • More sign-in options: log in with email and password, or via Google, GitHub, Amazon, or Apple — secured by passkeys (WebAuthn) and optional two-factor authentication.
    Improved
    • German and English with automatic language detection: if your account language differs from the page you are viewing, a subtle prompt points it out and offers to switch.
    • Dark mode with three settings — light, dark, or automatic by time of day (8 PM–7 AM).
